Museum Corinth

The small but beautifully landscaped archaeological museum is certainly worth a look because of the wealth of finds from the ancient city. There are finds from all periods of Corinth’s existence, archaic “Corinthian” pottery, some archaic funerary monuments, Byzantine-Frankish pottery, but above all a huge amount of sculptures from the Roman period, both original statues and Roman copies of famous Greek statues .

Fragments of the scene decoration from the great theater of Corinth (slightly outside the actual site), two scenes of Greeks fighting Amazons, a Giant (note the legs that end in serpents) and Heracles.
